We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Childcare Practitioners to join Bumbles Holiday Relief Team. About the Role:
As a Childcare Practitioner in our Holiday Relief Team, you will be responsible for providing engaging and stimulating care to children in a safe and supportive environment. You will work as part of a team to deliver a variety of activities, ensuring children have a fun and enriching experience at Bumbles. This role is primarily based with school age children (at Camp), and there can be times when you get the opportunity to experience working with children in younger age groups too.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, and educational activities.
- Create a positive and inclusive environment for all children.
- Assist with meal times and ensure children maintain good hygiene.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and other team members.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s attendance and any relevant incidents.
- Follow all safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
- Contribute to the overall smooth running of Camp.
- Adapt to different age groups and environments.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant childcare experienceLevel 2 CCLD, Level 2 Playwork (or equivalent) or undertaking same (Unqualified)
- Level 3 CCLD, Level 3 Playwork (or equivalent) (Qualified)
- Enthusiasm for CCPD
- First Aid / Paediatric First Aid
- Child Protection Training
- Food Safety Training
- Health and Safety Qualification
- Forest School Qualification
- Clean driver’s licence
Working Hours:
- This is a seasonal role, with work available during school holiday periods (Easter, Summer, Halloween and Christmas).
- Hours also available during term time in the Nursery which can be discussed at interview.
- Hours will vary depending on each individual and could be up to 30 hours per week.
- Flexibility is essential.
