Position: Childcare Practitioner
Hours: Full-time
Salary: £17,680 to £22,360 (dependant on experience/qualifications)
Responsible to: Co-ordinator or Deputy Manager
Bumbles is currently recruiting for a number of Childcare Practitioner roles, due to our ongoing expansion. Your role as Childcare Practitioner is to work as part of a strong team who provide a safe, caring, happy and stimulating environment for the children in our care. There are 3 types of Practitioner - qualified, unqualified and senior within Bumbles. Although not essential, we encourage you to undertake qualifications to further your Childcare career.

- You will ensure high standards of care, service, safety and hygiene are maintained in line with all Bumbles Day Care policies, procedures and routines.
- Complete thorough daily checks and risk assessments as instructed by your co-ordinator. Follow all policies in relation to infection control, allergies, safeguarding, medicines, reporting accidents etc.
- Develop, plan and carry out engaging weekly schedules and activities with your group, as directed by the group co-ordinator. Bumbles provides ‘non-contact time’ to allow you to do this.
- Ensure that play equipment / art materials / furniture are set up, cleaned and tidied away in a safe manner and stored in designated areas. Manage room inventory.
- Record daily observations / communicate daily with parents through our Family app.
- Assist with nappy changing or toileting as necessary.
- Supervise school collections, outings, snack and meal times. Help prepare food.
- Ensure rooms are kept clean throughout the day by brushing or vacuuming as appropriate. Carry out weekly deep cleans following organisational schedule. Ensure laundry is kept up to date.
- Participate in training programmes. (Training may be out of work hours. This will be paid.)
