Bumbles visits L’Arche Village

Total reading time: 2 minutes

At Bumbles Day Care, we love getting out into our local community and finding new ways to spark our children’s imaginations. This week, some of our B’Adventurers took a very special trip to L’Arche village in Belfast, alongside Patsy, Kelly-Marie and Sarah.

L’Arche is an incredible network of communities where people with and without learning disabilities share life, work, and friendship together. We have been proud supporters of L’Arche over the years, and Patsy delights in visiting the village each year to see their beautiful hanging baskets and buy enough to beautify the Bumbles settings. We are incredible lucky that the L’Arche village is a short walk away from our Bumbles on the Hill setting.

Here is a little recap of what our little adventurers got up to!

🌻 Exploring the Gardens & Allotments

The children absolutely loved wandering through L’Arche’s beautiful, blooming gardens and lush allotments. From smelling the flowers to spotting green shoots, it was a sensory wonderland for their curiousity.

🏺 A Peek Inside the Pottery Studio

A huge thank you to the team at L’Arche for kindly showing us around their pottery studio! The children were fascinated to see how beautiful things can be made from simple clay.

🧚 Coming Soon: Our Very Own Fairy Garden!

L’Arche have a magical fairy garden that has inspired our children into creating a brand-new fairy garden at Bumbles on the Hill.

We want to extend a massive thank you to everyone at L’Arche Belfast for welcoming us so warmly. Connecting with nature and our community is such a vital part of how our children learn and grow, and we already can’t wait for our next visit.
