In May 2022, Bumbles opened its fifth setting, aptly named Bumbles on the Hill due to its location in the Castlereagh Hills and its beautiful views over Belfast City. This setting offers childcare for families with children between the ages of 6 months and 11 years.
Bumbles on the Hill is registered for 70 children made up in the following groups:
- 12 Bumbilos (0-2 years, Full Day Care, Schoolhouse) Ratio 1:3
- 14 Bumblinos (2-3 years, Full Day Care, Pod 1) Ratio 1:5
- 14 Bumbleers (34 months – 4 years, Full Day Care, Pod 2) Ratio 1:8
- 14 B Explorers (4 years, Nursery School Wraparound or Full Day Care, Pod 3) Ratio 1:8
- 16 B Adventurers (5-11 years, Primary School Wraparound or Camp, Pod 4) Ratio 1:10

At Bumbles on the Hill, our team ensure a welcoming and homely environment for all of our children by providing a harmonious blend of vibrant and age appropriate activities, nutritious meals shared over warm conversations with friends and a gentle routine in well-designed spaces. This creates a peaceful, comfortable and inviting atmosphere for our families and children everyday.
Bumbles on the Hill lends itself well to a nature based approach with natural elements used in play indoors, alongside adventurous play in various outdoor garden spaces to explore.
Inside our setting, our rooms present a calming space. Natural colours and materials throughout encourage babies and young children to feel emotionally safe and contribute to a sense of peace in the setting. This enables children to explore, discover, play, and learn.
