Bumbles Day Nursery first opened its doors in Rosetta on 1st March 1993, established by Director Patricia Maxwell. Today, this setting offers childcare for families with children between the ages of 6 months to 4 years (before they potentially go to Nursery school).
Located directly opposite Rosetta Primary School, Bumbles 3 storey old Victorian corner house at 22 Knockbreda Road is the ideal location for a Childcare setting, much needed for the family orientated and bustling residential area of Rosetta and Ormeau Road in Belfast.
Bumbles Day Nursery (Knockbreda Road) is registered for 53 children made up in the following groups:
- 6 Bumblinos (0-2 years, Full Day Care, Ground floor – room 1) Ratio 1:3
- 9 Bumbletots (0-2 years, Full Day Care Ground floor – room 2) Ratio 1:3
- 20 Bumbilos (2-3 years, Full Day Care, Middle floor) Ratio 1:5
- 18 Bumbleers (3-5 years, Full Day Care, Top FLoor) Ratio 1:8

Our environment
For over 30 years, we have continuously adapted and evolved our settings. Walls have been knocked down, rooms made bigger, additional features in play areas, and now as we encourage a more nature based approach across Bumbles, we have maximised our outdoor spaces to allow for more play and exploration outside.
Our wonderful team ensure that all of the children in our care have endless opportunities to have fun, socialise, build relationships with one another and our grownups too. Our spaces are light, airy and invite the children to create, invent, explore, and much, much more.
We provide nutritious meals everyday for our children, freshly prepared by our in-house cook Lorraine.
We are delighted to say that Lorraine and a few other members of our team are long-standing employees who have been with us since 1993!
