I am excited to confirm that our annual Bumbles Pumpkin Patch is back! We warmly invite all of our wonderful children, team and families to join us for a late afternoon / evening of pumpkin-picking, carving and fundraising.
We will be hosting Bumbles Pumpkin Patch on Friday 17th October from 5pm at our Bumbles on the Hill setting. This is a ticketed event for all of our registered children across the nursery settings, and a wonderful opportunity for everyone to spend some time together over a coffee and have some fun. The Jumping Deer will be returning to provide hot drinks and refreshments which can be purchased on the evening from the carpark. There will be pumpkin picking, carving, maybe a few games and prizes for best family fancy dress!

Bumbles Pumpkin Patch Fundraising for Teech.org charity
This year, we’re proud to be fundraising for Teech.org, a small UK charity that helps install plumbed toilets in schools in Eastern Europe.
In August, I spent time in Moldova volunteering on a Teech trip. Over the course of 10 days, I worked alongside a team of 18 volunteers. Our primary mission was to visit 2 schools in neighbouring villages and install proper indoor plumbed toilet facilities in an unused classroom, a life-changing improvement for the children and staff of the school.
Realising the immediate impact of our work on the communities was incredibly rewarding. The warm welcome we received from the locals in each village made everything that Teech does even more meaningful. We delivered food packages and medical supplies to those most in need in each village. Seeing big smiles and happy tears during our visits was moving and humbling.
The before-and-after images below starkly reveal the harsh reality of how some villages in Eastern Europe struggle without even the most basic sanitary facilities. Basic sanitation and the simple ability to use a toilet and knowing how to use a toilet are rights every child should have.
