  • Neck injury is undetermined.
  • Medical advice indicates child can attend school whilst awaiting further investigation.
  • Check child’s individual notes regarding injury.

  • Any form of rough play could result in further injury, pain, swelling and/or discomfort and aggravate the injury
  • Being on the sidelines of children playing ball games could result in injury to the child

 

 

 

  • If child is in pain, age appropriate dose of calpol can be administered
  • if neck swells further or annoys child, advise parent to arrange to go straight to A & E.
  • Team to monitor child closely at all times and ensure that they are aware not to run / climb / jump
  • Make other children aware of the child’s situation and ensure they take care when nearby.

Appropriate supervision and observation to ensure child does not engage in any of the following:

  • running around either indoors or outdoors
  • physical play or sports
  • rough and tumble play

Appropriate supervision and observation to ensure child is not in the proximity of any games which could cause harm eg at the sidelines of children playing ball games.

 

  • Child can attend school and Bumbles and not miss out on school work
  • Child can attend Bumbles and enjoy the social aspect of playing with friends
  • Child feels included
