Typically we use nebula projector lights (or similar) to create an ambience which is calm and welcoming.

A suitable place should be identified within a room that is inaccessible to children and the light should be projected on to the ceiling.

The projector lights usually come with a variety of colours and / or themes which are seasonally appropritate.

  • The light source o f stars and nebulae is strong, so eyes should not look directly at the light source.  Therefore the projector must be placed at an appropriate height and directed towards the ceiling.
  • The head and body of the astronaut are connected together by magnets, and the Direction of the head can be adjusted. Do not stretch the astronaut’s head and body forcefully, otherwise the wires may break due to stretching
  • Trailing leads could create a hazard i.c children could pull the projector down.

  • A suitable place is identified and the projector is fixed securely with the direction set to point towards the ceiling.
  • Given that the projector is fixed securely, there is no need to stretch causing  wires to break.
  • Any leads from the aparatus to the sock are secure and not left to dangle.
  • The apartus is checked regularly and any faults reported immediately, resulting in the aparatus being removed and replaced
  • Projector lights are used on a medium setting only
  • In our younger groups flashing and intermittent settings are not used as this can create an over stimulating effect.

Use of projector lights contribute to the creation of a cosy, calm and homely environment.
