Job Summary:

As a Driver (regardless of qualifications), your job is to provide safe, high quality education and care for children ages approximately 6 months – 11 years. You must work as part of a team and closely with our children by ensuring a safe, caring, happy and stimulating environment for the children in our care. You will ensure that the high standards of care, service, safety and hygiene are maintained according to all Bumbles Day Care policies, procedures and routines. 

Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 15 hours per week (term-time)
Shift Pattern: 1:30pm – 3:30pm daily, including time spent in settings between collections
Rate of Pay: £13 per hour
Location: All collections take place within a 2-mile radius of our wraparound settings.

We are looking for a reliable, caring and safety-focused School Collection Driver to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is confident driving both automatic and manual card and a 9-seater vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely collect children from local schools using our 9-seater vehicle.
  • Ensure punctuality and maintain excellent standards of safety during every journey.
  • Support staff in the nursery between collection times, assisting with activities and routines whilst included in staff-to-child ratios.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Follow all safeguarding and organisational procedures.

Requirements

  • Clean UK driver’s licence (must be eligible to drive a 9-seater vehicle).
  • Ability to drive confidently in local residential areas.
  • Willingness to undertake an Access NI check and vetting procedures.
  • Friendly, patient and child-centred attitude.
  • Reliability and strong communication skills.
